• General Requirement

    Most of CCS Capstone career education programs require students to have an education background of BC Grade 12 or equivalent, or mature student status. Which means students should attain English 10 with a minimum 60 percent or equivalent. If the students can not meet the requirements of CCS Capstone career education programs, we provide English learning program to help students to achieve the requirements.

    English Requirement

    Students who want to enrol in Accounting Program or Tourism Management Program at CCS Capstone need to meet the English Requirement, which is English 10 or equivalents. Students may meet this requirement by completing one of the following options:

    1. Completed at two years of full-time, face-to-face secondary or post-secondary education in an English-speaking country where English is the primary language of instruction. In this case, students may provide:
      • A recognized bachelor's degree at a university in an English-speaking country where English is the primary language of instruction.
      • A recognized diploma at a college in an English-speaking country where English is the primary language of instruction.
      • Report card of three credits of undergraduate English at a recognized post-secondary institution where English is the primary language of instruction, with a minimum overall score of 60%.
    2. Completed the Canadian Academic English Language Test (CAEL), IELTS academic modules, or Internet-based TOEFL. Scores are valid for two years. The minimum score requirements for each test are listed below:

    CAEL: Canadian Academic English Language Test

    Listening: 60

    Speaking: 60

    Reading: 60

    Writing: 60

    Overall: 60

     

    IELTS: Academic module

     

     

    Overall: 5.5

    with no band less than 5.0

     

    TOEFL: Internet-based

     

    Listening: 15

    Speaking: 15

    Reading: 15

    Writing: 15

    Overall: 60

     

    3. Obtained Canadian Language Benchmark Level 6 through any ESL program.

    4. Completed the CCS Capstone’s English language assessment, with a minimum 60% of Speaking and Listening, and 60% of Writing and Reading.
